Today we woke up early and hopped on the tube, all dressed up to go to an Anglican church service at the Tower of London. It was wonderful, with a choir and a sermon about how Obama shouldn't have taken international law into his own hands by killing Osama as he did. Very interesting. I feel like I agree in principle, but I wonder what else we were supposed to do when we found him...

The White Tower. Knights, armor, codpieces and spiral staircases. What more could you want from a fortress.
Traitor's Gate

London bridge from afar.
Henry VIII's jousting armor.

Castle fireplace.

The Tower Cathedral

Old ledger book for supplies for the tower.
Look at this awesome saddle! Wow.

One of the poor, clipped ravens that are kept at the tower. Apparently if the ravens ever leave the tower, England will fall, so they now imprison them...
Hmm... I'm sure they live happy, well fed lives.

This is a window in the torture chamber.

Strange chicken-wire polar bear chained to a post.

Graffiti chipped out by prisoners here.
