Today was so great!  I have dreamed of Portobello road since Angela Lansbury jumped into a chalk drawing on the television screen in my early childhood (Bedknobs and Broomsticks, of course.)  We walked and explored for hours.

Afterward, some of us went to that play Cause Celebre at the Old Vic.  It was great old-style theatre work.  I have some pictures of the Old Vic down below.

Chase and I decided to walk back to the flats, past Buckingham palace, through some of the great parks.

Portobello Road

Gold!   Jewels!

Walking stick, anyone?

Bike horns.

Books in The Good Fairy store.
I bought an 1887 Alfred Lord Tennyson to take down to the Isle of Wight later this trip.  :)

We are well-pleased in front of the old books.

The map shop was great!  If only these pages (often ripped out of old books, for shame) were not so expensive.

We bought lovely glasses, 5 Pounds for 2.

This is a terribly odd advertising scheme.

I thought Kyle would appreciate this.

Escalator to the tube.

The Old Vic.
We had a hard time seeing over this edge, but it turned out ok.  I really enjoyed the production of Cause Celebre.

Buckingham Palace.

Me at the gates.

I loved this statue sooooo much.

This is a WWI and WWII monument for fallen Australians.

These apartments must be so expensive!
